Biography
My environment since childhood has been a highly creative one and always linked to textiles. I have come to know different materials and techniques: sewing, patchwork, weaving, embroidery, knitting, crochet… In our family house lace-making has been passed down from generation to generation and has created my taste and admiration for this know-how linked to very specific regions.
In 2006 I discovered bobbin lace at an exhibition in a workshop for textile creation at the Academy of Fine Arts in Woluwe Saint Pierre (Belgium), and this is where I learnt these skills.
Since then I have exhibited, I have trained further in Belgium and France, I have worked with other artists and I have participated in competitions.
I belong to a stream of renewal in the art of lace-making, moving away from the traditional models to personal creations in volume and with the most contemporary designs.
